Who I Am

At Sue’s Healing, I Susan O’Brien am committed to maintaining the trust and confidence of all visitors to my website. In particular, I want you to know that Sue’s Healing is not in the business of selling, renting or trading email lists with other companies and businesses for marketing purposes.

In this Privacy Policy, I’ve provided detailed information on when and why I collect personal information, how I use it, the limited conditions under which I may disclose it to others, and how I keep it secure.

I take your privacy very seriously and take measures to provide all visitors and users of Sue’s Healing with a safe and secure environment.

This Privacy Policy does not apply to the practices of any third parties that I do not own or control, including any third party services you may access through my website. These third parties have their own Privacy Policies and Terms of Use which you should access and read before using their services. As always it is advisable to do your own research, and apply your own due diligence before accessing any services.

What Information Do I Collect?

I collect information from you when you visit my website, subscribe to my newsletter, place an order in my store, respond to a survey, leave a comment on my blog, or fill out a form.

When ordering or registering on my site, you will be asked to provide certain information. This may include personal data, such as name, address, telephone number, email address, transactional data such as purchase information, personal account preferences, and technical data such as information from cookies and tracking pixels.

Why I Require Your Information And How It Is Used

I require your information for the following purposes, and I rely on a number of legal basis to collect, use, and share your information including:

As required to provide my services, such as when I use your information to fulfill your order. When you place an order on my website a contract is formed between us, and I am contractually bound to fulfill your order in good faith. This is the legal basis that permits me to process your information so that I may complete your order.

To settle a dispute, or to provide you with customer support at your request.

When you have provided your express consent, which you may revoke at any time, by for example signing up for my newsletter mailing list.

I use your information to provide you with the service you have requested, and in my legitimate interests to improve my services. I may monitor visitor traffic patterns and site usage to help me develop and improve the design and layout of the site. This is based also on the feedback I receive from you.

This monitoring includes the use of analytical services, as well as the placing of cookies on your browser. When you access my website you will be asked to give your express consent to allow cookies and analytical data.

You have the right to refuse consent, but this does affect your user experience and use of my website. If you are not happy to grant consent for cookies or data, then I would ask you not to use my website.

To comply with a court order or legal obligation or claim. I may retain your data as required, for example to maintain a record of your purchases if required to do so under tax law (in Ireland where I reside, a term of 6 years business accounts and details is required).

Information held is required to be accurate, complete, and up to date. Therefore you may wish to update your information occasionally, as required, to continue receiving future communications, such as newsletters etc.

How do I Protect Your Information?

I take my security responsibilities very seriously, employing the most appropriate physical and technical measures available, including SSL (Secure Socket Layer) site encryption as well as  regular software and app updates.

These measures are reviewed regularly.


Cookies are small files that a site, or its service provider, transfers to your computers hard drive through your web browser (if you allow cookies), that enables the site’s or service provider’s systems to recognize your browser and capture and remember certain information.

For example, merchant account providers, such as PayPal, require the use of cookies in their online shopping systems, as do all online checkout facilities, to ensure that your order is processed correctly, and smoothly.

Cookies may also be used when compiling data about site traffic and interaction, in order to provide you with better site experiences and tools in the future.

If your internet browser is set to reject cookies, or if your network firewall won’t allow them, then you may experience difficulties when browsing this site. You may also find that you cannot access the online store. Please refer to your internet browser help file if you wish to allow cookies on your PC.

Sue’s Healing Rays may set and access Sue’s Healing Rays cookies on your computer.  Cookies are used to provide our system with the basic information to provide the services you are requesting.  Cookies can be cleared at any time from your internet browser settings.

If you leave a comment on my website you may opt in to saving your name, email and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.

If you have an account and you login to this site, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data, and is discarded when you close your browser.

When you login, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the log in cookies will be removed.

Third Party Access

There may be some circumstances where your IP address, geographic location, and other browser related details may be shared with third party companies.  We may share your above mentioned data with the following third party companies from time to time.

Embedded Content From Other Websites

Articles on this site may include embedded content (eg. videos, images, articles etc.) Embedded content from other websites behaves in the exact same way as if the visitor has visited the other website, such as YouTube.

These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracing your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged into that website.


By default, WordPress does not collect any analytics data.

WordPress does not collect any personal data about visitors, and only collects the data shown on the User Profile screen from registered users. WordPress does not share any personal data with anyone.  

Google Analytics

When someone visits Sue’s Healing Rays I use a third party service, Google Analytics, to collect standard internet log information and details of visitor behaviour patterns. I do this to track things such as the number of visitors to the various parts of my site and interactions with the site. Google collects this information by placing a cookie on your web browser when you visit my site, and collects your IP address, access time and frequency of visits to my website.

I then use this information to further improve your visitor experience and the services that I offer to you.

This information is processed in a way which does not identify anyone. I do not make, and do not allow Google to make, any attempt to find out the identities of visitors to my website.

If you are visiting my website from an IP address in the European Union, Google will automatically anonymize your personal data.

Google Adsense

Google Adsense is an online service which allows the placement of advertising on third party websites, and it is integrated on this website, Sue’s Healing

Google Adsense places cookies on the internet browsers of my site visitors and collects the IP address. This enables me to analyse the use of my website, and to offer advertising that may be of interest to you.

Google Adsense also uses tracking pixels embedded into my website pages which create log files to analyse the flow of website visitors.

Please note however, Google Adsense on this website, Sue’s Healing is set to serve non-personalized advertising to my website visitors. This limits the amount of personal data that Google is allowed to collect through Google Adsense on my website to IP address and flow of traffic on my website. No other personal data is collected.

Website Comments

When someone visits Sue’s Healing, there may be an ability to submit comments on particular articles or pages.  When comments are submitted, you are entitled to use aliases or information that completely hides your identity. When a comment is submitted, the relevant details (name, email, website) that you provide are stored, as well as your IP address and browser user string to assist in spam detection.  

These details are stored so that we can display your comment back to you, and to anyone viewing the comment sections on the site. We do not verify information entered nor do we require verification.

An anonymized string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service Privacy Policy is available here After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Mailing Lists

As part of the registration process for our e-newsletter, we collect personal information. We use that information for a couple of reasons: to tell you about stuff you’ve asked us to tell you about; to contact you if we need to obtain or provide additional information; to check our records are right and to check every now and then that you’re happy and satisfied. We do not rent or trade email lists with other organisations, businesses or individuals.

We use a third-party provider, to deliver our newsletter. We gather statistics around email opening and clicks using industry standard technologies to help us monitor and improve our e-newsletter.

When you sign up for my email newsletter list, you can do so in confidence knowing that MailChimp have the strictest security measures in place to protect your personal information.

MailChimp is certified to the E.U.-U.S. Privacy Shield Framework and the Swiss-U.S. Privacy Shield Framework. So all transfers of personal information and data by MailChimp are carried out with the highest levels of security measures in place.

During the sign-up process you will be asked to consent to the various methods of communication that you wish to receive from me. You can opt-in to all, or whichever options you wish to choose, such as emails and direct mail, or just emails.

Please also note, you can unsubscribe at any time and this will completely revoke your consent, and all of your personal information will then also be removed and deleted completely from my mailing list.

Facebook Like, Facebook Share

I embed a Facebook Widget on my website to allow you to see number of likes/ shares and “like/share” my webpages. This widget may collect your IP address, your web browser User Agent, store and retrieve cookies on your browser, embed additional tracking, and monitor your interaction with the widget, including correlating your Facebook account with whatever action you take within the widget (such as liking/sharing my webpage), if you are logged into Facebook. Twitter Tweet

I use a Twitter Tweet widget on my website. As a result my website makes requests to Twitter’s servers for you to be able to tweet my webpages using your Twitter account. These requests make your IP address visible to Twitter, who may use it in accordance with their data privacy policy

Google Plus/Google Plus Share

I use a Google Plus widget on my website. As a result, my website makes requests to Google’s servers for you to be able to share my webpages using your Google Plus account. These requests make your IP address visible to Google, who may use it in accordance with their data privacy policy

Linkedin Share

I use a Linkedin Share widget on my website to allow you to share my webpages on LinkedIn. These requests may track your IP address in accordance with their data privacy policy

Pinterest Save

I use Pinterest Save widget on my website to allow you to pin images to Pinterest from my webpages. These requests may track your IP address in accordance with their data privacy policy


I use Buffer widget on my website to allow you to add my webpages to your Buffer account, which collects log data from your browser. This Log Data may include information such as your IP address, browser type, or the domain at which you are interacting with the widget, in accordance with their privacy policy


I use Tumblr widget on my website to allow you to share my webpages to Tumblr. These requests may track your IP address in accordance with their data privacy policy


I use Instagram widget on my website to allow you to share images from my webpages. These requests may track your IP address in accordance with their privacy policy


When you visit my store, I will track:

Products you’ve viewed: I use this to for example show you products you’ve recently viewed.

Location, IP address, and browser type: I use this for purposes such as calculating taxes and shipping.

Shipping Address: I’ll ask you to enter this so I can, for example estimate shipping before you place an order, and send you the order!

I also use cookies to keep track of cart contents while you’re browsing my site.

When you purchase from me, I will ask you to provide information including your name, billing address, shipping address, email address, phone number, credit card/payment details, and optional account information like username and password. I will use this information for purposes such as to:

Send you information about your account and order.

Respond to your requests, including refunds and complaints.

Process payments and prevent fraud.

Set up your account for my store.

Comply with any legal obligations I have, such as calculating taxes.

Improve my store offerings.

Send you marketing messages, if you choose to receive them.

If you create an account, I will store your name, address, email and phone number, which will be used to populate the checkout for future orders.

I generally store information about you for as long as I need the information for the purposes for which I collect and use it, and I am not legally required to keep it. For example, I will store order information for 6 years for tax and accounting purposes. This includes your name, email address and billing and shipping addresses.

I will also store comments or reviews if you choose to leave them.

Third Party Access To My Store

I share information with third parties who help me provide my orders and store services to you.

Access to Your Personal Information

You are entitled to view, amend, or delete the personal information that we hold. Email your request to the data  controller Susan O’Brien at and I  will work with you to remove any of your personal data that I may have.

Your Personal Rights and Access

If you reside in certain territories, including the E.U. you have certain rights in relation to your personal information and how it is used.

Some rights apply generally, while other rights will apply only in certain limited cases.


Request Information

You may ask if I hold personal information about you, and if so, what that personal information is, and why I am holding it or using it.

Request Access

To your personal information. This enables you to receive a copy of the personal information I may be holding about you.

Request Correction

This allows you to have any incorrect or incomplete personal information that I may hold about you corrected.

Request Deletion

This allows you to ask me to delete or remove personal information where there is no good reason for me to continue to process it. You can also ask me to delete or remove your information if you have objected to the processing of it.

Except for exceptional circumstances (such as, where I am required to store data for legal reasons) I will generally delete your personal information upon request.

Object To Processing

You can object to a) my processing of some of your information based on my legitimate interests b) receiving marketing messages from me after providing your express consent to receive them. There is always an Unsubscribe Link in all of the emails I send, and you have the right to Unsubscribe from these messages at any time.

In such cases, I will delete your personal information unless I have compelling and legitimate grounds to continue using that information, or if it is needed for legal reasons which may include tax purposes.

Request Transfer (Data Portability)

You may request a transfer of your personal information in an electronic format to you, or another party.

Data Retention

I retain your personal information only for as long as it is necessary for me to provide you with my services and as described in my Privacy Policy.

However, I may also be required to retain this information to resolve disputes, to enforce my policies and agreements, and to comply with legal and regulatory obligations such as preparing tax records.

For these purposes I will retain your data for a period of 6 years.

When your data is no longer required for any of these reasons, I will securely delete or destroy it.

Changes to Our Privacy Policy

I may make changes to my Privacy Policy in the future, however, the most current version of the policy will govern my processing of your personal data and will always be available at the following URL:
